Welcome to Latest-News.org, a site about you!

Hi Everyone,

This site was made for everyone to share their thoughts, ideas, rumors, facts and the like on current news. Whether it is something you heard on the radio, saw on the TV, or heard from a friend; we’d like to hear about it. The goal of this is to get different perceptives on topics from a diverse community. There is no need to feel compelled to have to agree with others for the sake of trying to fit in. We perfer to start a dialogue through a question or claim, and then let it grow organically from user comments.

Which brings up another huge point, we are allowing others to start topics as well. Anyone can start there own subject! We will engage in a minor amount of moderation because some spam, off color topics, and surely other interesting tactics will come forward, will be removed.

The underlying reason for this site is to report truth. We live in a society that is bombarded by so much information and advertising that intelligent analysis of all this is too time consuming and practically unmanageable. We like to find others that are interested in learning as much as we are and cutting through the hearsay to the facts.

Gossip is fine,we find it quite fun, but must be used sparingly. Much of the time a news company reports a story as a rumor, just because they don’t have an amount of certain information that they deem enough to call it news. This gossip is important because most of the time the info (ie corportate earnings reports) are true. So its cool to know about this before the general public and this is what is fun about this site. We can get the latest news on gadgets, technology, social trends, and the latest buzz around town.

Thank you for visiting Latest-News.org, as mentioned, this site is for you…so go ahead and post a comment or even start an article!

best,
Phil

"For eighteen months we have been working for the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia - Herzegovina, as well as for the opposition in Kosovo. Throughout this period, we have many successes, giving us a formidable international image. We intend to take advantage of this and develop commercial agreements with these countries.... To manage to move the Jewish opinion to our side. ... Tens of thousands of Jews perished in Croatian camps. So there was every reason for intellectuals and Jewish organizations to be hostile towards the Croats and Bosnians. Our challenge was to reverse this effort. And we succeeded masterfully. ... When we got the Jewish organizations on our side we could promptly equate the Serbs with the Nazis in the public mind... Nobody understood what was going on in (former) Yugoslavia. The great majority of American were probably asking themselves in which African country Bosnia was situated. But, by a single move, we were able to present a simple story of good guys and bad guys which would hereafter play itself." - James Harff, Director of Ruder Finns, Global Public affairs section, in an interview in October 1993.
